Wie ouder wordt, denkt onvermijdelijk terug aan het verleden. En wie in het buitenland woont, neemt letterlijk afstand van wat eens was. Laat uw herinneringen niet verloren gaan. Uw biografie is immers een monument van onschatbare waarde voor uw familie en dierbare vrienden. In een aantal gesprekken teken ik uw verhaal op. Ook al woont u niet in Nederland, wij kunnen spreken via Skype. Of ik kom naar u toe. Van uw verhaal, voorzien van foto’s, maak ik een fraai boek. Gabrielle Pinkster maakt hiervan een fraaie Engelse vertaling.
Gabrielle Pinkster behaalde haar Master Engelse Taal en Cultuur aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen en werkt sinds 2013 als zelfstandig vertaler/editor/schrijver. Gabrielle houdt van verhalen. Van uw levensverhaal maakt zij een prachtige Engelse vertaling.

Gabrielle investeert voortdurend in het vergroten van haar kennis en het ontwikkelen van haar vaardigheden. Zo haalde ze in 2020 haar post-HBO eindredactie van teksten aan de Hogeschool Utrecht en rondt ze in 2021 haar opleiding tot docent creatief schrijven af aan Dactylus academie voor schrijfdocenten.

We know that people who live abroad literally distance themselves from what once was. And that those who get older inevitably think back to the past. Every person carries their own fascinating story with them. It’s such a pity when these memories get lost forever. That’s why we write them down, in Dutch and in English. Every person’s biography is its own monument of memories. Your biography can be of invaluable worth to your friends and loved ones. Through a series of in-depth interview sessions, I write down your memoirs. We can talk over Skype, or I can come visit you. I will then turn your story, including photo’s, into a beautiful book.
Gabrielle has always loved a good story. After getting her master’s degree in English literature at the University of Groningen, she started freelancing as a writer, editor, and translator in 2013. She will happily translate your story into English.
